Okay, so "Furifure The Animation Episode 1" is like a car crash with a school bus full of metaphors. You kinda want to look away, but there's this train wreck fascination, y'know? It all starts with Kurahashi, this girl who's like totally grounded after a fight with her dad (been there!). She's desperate for someone to talk to β seriously, like, someone stole her diary desperate. So, she goes on this "Free Friends" website, which is about as subtle as a rhino in a tutu.
Remember how Romeo and Juliet was totally star-crossed? Well, this is like the opposite of that. Kurahashi gets a message⦠from her teacher, Hirasaka! Talk about awkward!
Now, Hirasaka is like a sad puppy ever since his wife left him. He's all mopey and stuff. Anyway, instead of helping Kurahashi with her whole "running away" problem, he's like, "Hey, wanna do it in my shower?" It's all kinds of wrong, but she kinda goes along with it 'cause, like, where else is she gonna go?
This episode is full of "no means yes," which is super messed up. It's like watching a train going the wrong way on the tracks, you're just waiting for the crash. And crash it does! Hirasaka is obsessed with doing it inside Kurahashi, even though she's clearly not into it. He's all "don't worry, I'm infertile," which is supposed to be comforting, but it's not. It's like putting a bandaid on a broken leg.
The whole episode is basically him taking advantage of her situation and her being too scared and confused to really fight back. By the end, she's basically his puppet, saying she likes it even though she's totally traumatized.
So yeah, "Furifure The Animation Episode 1" is not exactly what you'd call a feel-good story. It's more like a punch in the gut disguised as a love story. Seriously, this episode is messed up! Don't watch it expecting rainbows and unicorns, 'cause you'll get something way different.
