Oh boy, where do I even start with this one? Picture this: a hot summer night, fireworks in the background, and two people who can’t seem to keep their hands off each other. Sôma and Ryô are the stars of this show, and let me tell you, their chemistry is... well, it’s something. Ryô’s yukata is apparently so stunning that Sôma can’t help but compliment it, even if it’s a little late. Classic move, Sôma. The dialogue is a mix of “stop it” and “I’m gonna cum,” which is about as subtle as a fireworks display in a library. But hey, at least the voice acting is decent, right?
Then we jump to a beach volleyball game because, of course, nothing says “adult content” like a competitive sport with a side of sexual tension. The stakes? The winners get to approach the girls, and the losers have to clean up the barbecue. Riveting stuff. Hase and Fujihashi are up against Isono and Shimoda, and let’s just say the game is as intense as a soap opera. Hase gets called out for being beaten by a woman, and suddenly he’s all “I’m going to fight seriously.” Sure, buddy. We all know where this is going.
The animation is... well, it’s there. The characters are cute, and the beach scenes are nice, but the plot is about as deep as a kiddie pool. If you’re looking for a story with substance, this isn’t it. But if you’re here for some steamy scenes and a bit of humor, you might just enjoy it. Just don’t expect anything groundbreaking. Oh, and don’t forget the swimming pool scene at the end. Because why not? No one can extinguish the flames of love, apparently. Not even a lifeguard.
